    How do I place an order and "Checkout" online?

    To optimize our customer's online shopping experience, 4sgm.com requires logging in first. If you do not have an account, please "Create an Account" before proceeding.

    Add Item to the Order:
    You can add an item to your order two different ways: 1) Click on the "Add to Order" button when you are browsing products, type the item pack quantity you would like to order from the pop-up window or 2) Click on the item's link to access its full details to add the item to your order.

    Checkout:
    You may click on to start the "Checkout" process at anytime (which may be found at the top right-hand corner of every page) and then follow the instructions to begin submitting your order.

    How can I keep track of the status for my order(s)?

    4sgm.com customers can now keep track of their "Order Status" and even "Order History". You must "Login" first to begin, then click on either "Order Status" or "My Account" from the top right-side corner and select "Orders". You may check your "Order Status" as frequently as you would like after you place an order.

    Can you provide me with guidelines or tips for browsing your products?

    1. Guidelines for Understanding Product Categories
      4sgm.com currently carries the following 16 Department Categories: Apparel, Baby Items, Bags, Bath, Domestics, Electronics, Footware, Gift/Novelty, Hardware, Health & Beauty, Housewares, Licensed Items, Frames, Seasonal, Stationery, and Toys.

      Each Department Category has its own Section Categories that easily breaks down our merchandise line. In some cases further classification is needed for very broad Section Categories, so we've created Subcategories to narrow down what we carry.
    2. Browsing Section Category Pages Tip
      To make each customer's shopping experience easy and convenient we showcase "Hot Items," "New Arrivals," "Featured Items" and "Selected Items" visibly in all Department Category and Section Category Pages.

      You can click on "View All" at the top-left corner if you wish to see our entire list of Section Category items. You may then sort to view them by item number, item name, price and brand.

    How can I use the search engine to locate a product?

    1. Basic Search Tip
      (+), (-) Operators
      (+) Type a plus (+) symbol in front of words to find only answers that contain those words. For example, santa + sock will get products contain both santa and sock.
      (-) Type a minus (-) symbol in front of words to exclude answers that contain those words. For example, santa - sock will get products contain santa excluding sock.
      NOTE: REMEMBER TO TYPE A SPACE BEFORE AND AFTER THE (+) or (-) SIGN.
      Using Quotation Marks
      Typically, when a phrase is enclosed by double quotations marks, the exact phrase is searched. For example, "santa sock" will get products exactly with "santa sock" in their name.
      Wildcard (?) and Truncation (*) Symbols
      (?) The wildcard is represented by a question mark (?). To use the wildcard, enter your search terms and replace each unknown character with a ?. For example, type so?? will get products such as soap, sock etc., but it won't get soccer because the wildcard replaces a single character.
      (*) Truncation is represented by an asterisk (*). To use truncation, enter the root of a search term and replace the ending with an *, you will get all forms of this word. For example, soc* will get all products such as sock, socks, soccer etc.
      Note: Using truncation (*), you must type 3 characters at least. For example, soc* is legal search mask, but so* is invalid.
         
    2. Simple Search

      The simple search function is very powerful, yet easy to use. You can search the entire Four Seasons General Merchandise product inventory. Use the following instructions to make sure you get the best possible search results.

      The following rules apply to all searches within 4sgm.com:
      Keywords need to be separated by commas (,).
      Results are based on the keyword(s) entered.
      To search for an exact phrase, use quotation marks (" ").
      Searches can be done by product name and description.


      For searching products, you may search for keywords by using a plus sign (+) between the keywords. You can also search for a specific phrase by using quotation marks (" "). You may also use wildcard and truncation symbols for a simple search.

       
    3. Advanced Search
      The advanced search will allow you to enter comma-separated strings and use wildcard characters. By default, an advanced search looks for words, not strings. For example, entering the word "sock" will find products containing the word "sock" but not "socks." You may use wildcards, however to broaden the scope of the search. "sock*" will return products containing both "sock" and "socks" Case is ignored.

      With an advanced search, you can specify any or all the product attributes fields (item number, item name, description, country of origin, brand and UPC code) you wish to search in. Advanced search also allows you to pick a price range, an arrival date range and a category to search, which further narrows your search results. You can also choose how to sort the results to display.

    What should I do if some items are missing when I receive my order?

    You will need to write (sent via fax or e-mail) a detailed claim to your salesperson that must include the following details: a copy of your Delivery Receipt (DR) with a written explanation of the problem and a copy of your Final Invoice (only this copy will be accepted) encircling the missing item number(s).

    All information received will be forwarded to our shipping department who will look further into and come up with a resolution for your claim. Please be aware each box is plastic-wrapped and marked with a number for clearer tampering visibility.

    For a faster reimbursement and to prevent delays, any discrepancies (pallet is not intact), shortages, damages, or missing boxes should be immediately written on the DR and either e-mailed or faxed over to your 4sgm salesperson. Only your Final Invoice details will be considered.

    What should I do if some items are damaged?

    This procedure is similar to filing a missing item(s) claims. You will need to write (sent via fax or e-mail) a detailed claim to your salesperson that must include the following details: a copy of your Delivery Receipt (DR) with a written explanation of the problem and a copy of your Final Invoice (only this copy will be accepted) encircling the damaged item number(s).

    Our shipping department will be forwarded all claim information and look thoroughly into the matter (which may take 1 to 2 weeks to be resolved). Please note: detailed claims and support (i.e. providing pictures) will help a gain a quick favorable outcome.

    For a faster reimbursement and to prevent delays, any discrepancies (pallet is not intact), shortages, damages, or missing boxes should be immediately written on the DR and either e-mailed or faxed over to your 4sgm salesperson. Only your Final Invoice will be considered.
